Dr Robert C Wrixon - Managing Director
Qualifications: B.Eng, M.Eng, Ph.D, GAICD
Rob Wrixon comes to Uranio from Xstrata where he spent five years in marketing, corporate strategy and business development (M&A) for both Xstrata Coal in Sydney and Xstrata plc, based in London. Rob served as Xstrata’s representative on the board of directors of CMC Ltd, the coal marketing company for the Cerrejon joint venture in Colombia. Prior to joining Uranio, Rob was employed as head of Energy Policy at Xstrata Coal.
Prior to joining Xstrata, Rob was a project manager with Mars & Co, a global strategy consulting firm working at client sites in the USA, Australia and Japan and helped to establish the Tokyo office of Mars & Co in 2001.
Rob holds an honours degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University and a Ph.D in mineral engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where he also lectured.
Originally from Ireland, Rob now holds dual Australian and Irish citizenship.
Mr Marcello Cardaci - Chairman
Qualifications: BJuris, LLB, BCom
Mr Cardaci is a partner in the Australian legal practice of Blakiston & Crabb. Mr Cardaci holds degrees in law and commerce and is experienced in wide range of corporate and commercial matters with a particular emphasis on public and private equity raisings and mergers and acquisitions.
Blakiston & Crabb specialises in the provision of legal advice to companies involved in various industries including resources and manufacturing.
Mr Cardaci is also a director of Sphere Investments Limited, a company listed on the ASX.
Mr David Riekie - Non-Executive Director
Qualifications: BEc, Dip Acc, CA
David is a chartered accountant and has a significant level of experience in capital raising initiatives (public and private), corporate and strategic development programs.
David was an executive director of Grange Consulting Group Pty Ltd from 1996 to 2008. Grange specialises in capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate advice and has been instrumental in developing effective business strategies for restructure and growth in a variety of industries both in Australia and overseas.
David is currently a director of a number of ASX listed public companies and has recently been appointed as Managing Director of Avonlea Minerals Limited (ASX:AVZ).
Mr Phil Warren - Company Secretary
Qualifications: BCom, CA
Phil is a Senior Executive of Grange Consulting, where he specialises in Corporate Advisory and Financial Management services.
Phil has considerable corporate experience working in finance, accounting and corporate roles in Australia and Europe.
Phil has spent a number of years working overseas for major International Investment banks. Phil started his career in the Perth office of Arthur Andersen in the Business Consulting Division, having graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
Phil is currently the Company Secretary of ASX Listed Companies Reclaim Industries Limited and Empire Beer Group Limited.
